Karen qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2000 and worked in both NHS and Private practices for many years.

Wanting to become more actively involved in patient care she then applied for, and was accepted on, the Dental Hygiene and Therapy course at Leeds University and qualified as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist in 2007.

Since then Karen has worked in both Private and NHS practices.

Karen is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and regularly attends courses on hygiene therapy and dental implant maintenance, keeping fully up to date with her continuing professional development.

Faye Walton

Faye qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist from Leeds Dental Institute in 2010. She has worked in private practice and within community dentistry since qualification and joined Street Lane Dental Implant Clinic in 2012.

Faye developed an interest in dental implants when she worked as a sterile dental implant nurse in general practice. Also Faye chose to research dental implants as part of her University studies and continues her professional development in this area through courses and seminars.

Faye is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and is involved in other areas such as Quality and Governance for Bradford District Care Trust.

Kate Crooks

Kate qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1993 and worked in mixed NHS/Private practices for many years experiencing many different aspects of dental nursing. However, Kate wanted to be more directly involved with patient care and was accepted onto the Hygiene and Therapy course at Leeds Dental Institute, qualifying as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist in 2012.

Kate particularly likes working with nervous and anxious patients, using her calm and reassuring manner to put them at ease.

Kate keeps fully up to date with her continuing professional development, regularly attending courses on hygiene therapy and dental implant maintenance.
